As stated by Gov. Wolf, the best thing you can do to protect other people during the COVID19 pandemic is stay home.

The second best thing you can do is wear a mask if you must leave your home.

Out of concern for all, the Housing Authority strongly recommends a mask be worn in all common areas of the building, especially in areas where it is reasonable to expect to encounter other residents i.e. ELEVATORS, laundry room, mail boxes, etc. Face coverings can be commercial or handmade masks, or simply a bandana.

Please remember that a face covering won’t necessarily protect the person wearing it, but it does protect your neighbor, just as your neighbor’s face covering protects you!

Be reminded of the following preventative measures we can all do to help protect ourselves:

Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after touching any frequently used surface
When soap and water is not available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol
Avoid touching our eyes, nose and mouth
Follow the CDC’s social distancing recommendation of 6 feet
Avoid close contact with people who are sick
Cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing
Throw used tissues in the trash

Stay calm, stay home, and stay safe. And remember, Housing Authority staff is here if you need us.

Residents with internet access are encouraged to visit the Housing Authority’s website at ~ check out the “Message Board” Information posts for more COVID-19 info.
